The Impact of Futsal

Throughout the program, players were introduced to the fundamentals of futsal—developing their technical skills, quick decision-making, and creativity in tight spaces. The fast-paced format proved to be an effective tool in sharpening abilities that will translate into both futsal and outdoor soccer.

Our Role

As Manitoba’s only exclusive futsal club, Pioneers FC was honored to bring our expertise to this initiative. Our coaches—who have guided Pioneers to six straight provincial futsal titles and a podium finish at the 2024 Canadian Futsal Championship—led the training sessions, blending international futsal methodology with Manitoba’s development goals.

This collaboration with MSA reflected our shared vision: to grow futsal in Manitoba and provide pathways for young athletes to reach the next level.

We are proud to have been part of this program and to have contributed to laying the foundation for Manitoba’s success at the 2026 Games.
