Spotlight: Pioneers FC Players Shine at Canada Soccer’s 2018 Futsal ID Camp

We’re proud to celebrate the accomplishments of three Pioneers FC standouts—Anderson Pereira, Derek Mains, and Adam Mooi—who were selected for the Canada Soccer Futsal National Team identification camp in September 2018, held in Gatineau, Québec.

All three were chosen from Winnipeg and represented Manitoba with distinction, having competed under the club banner of Winnipeg Rovers FC at that time. Their selection to the camp marked them as among the top futsal players in the nation. Canada SoccerFlickr

Here’s a closer look at each:

  • Anderson Pereira – A technically gifted midfielder whose Brazilian futsal upbringing and innovative playing style made him stand out. His selection highlighted both his skills and the Pioneers’ development pathway. Canada SoccerFlickr
  • Derek Mains – A composed and dynamic presence in midfield, Derek’s tactical awareness and calm under pressure earned him a spot among Canada’s best at the ID camp. Canada SoccerFlickr

Their participation in the 2018 Canada Soccer Futsal ID Camp was a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the strong futsal foundations we develop at Pioneers FC. We’re immensely proud of their achievement and the excitement it brought to our futsal community in Manitoba.
